Lambert Medical Centre

Delivery of the 2020 Flu Campaign

The Lambert Medical Centre will be starting the annual flu vaccination clinics in September 2020. Due to COVID we are changing how we run the clinics to ensure that patients are kept as safe as possible when attending the surgery.

We will NOT be having walk in clinics.

If you are eligible for the flu vaccination you will be contacted by letter inviting you to attend the surgery and it is important that you attend at the allotted time slot so we can ensure social distancing.

When you attend for your vaccination you must wear a face covering and all of our staff will be wearing PPE.

You should attend on your own (except if you require a carer or you are coming with someone who has been invited to attend at the same time eg your partner) Please wear clothing which can be easily removed to expose your upper arm.

We will be inviting patients in a way that allows us to safely manage the numbers so please be patient; if you are eligible we will be inviting you. If you are unable to attend on the day you have been invited, please contact the surgery to make alternative arrangements.

If you are aged 50-64 with no long term condition, the government has announced that you will be eligible for a flu vaccination this year, however we are awaiting further guidance as to how and when these vaccinations will be delivered. We anticipate that this will be after the ‘at risk’ groups have been vaccinated.

If you do not want to have a flu vaccination this year, please can you contact the surgery to let us know so we can use your vaccine for someone else.
