Self isolation support

If you require information about who should self-isolate, how you do this and how long you should self-isolate for please click here

Community Works is one of 23 Community Support Organisations working with North Yorkshire County Council.

Our advice to anyone self-isolating is to ask for help from family, friends, neighbours and trusted local groups. For anyone who doesn’t have someone they can call on for help and you live in Thirsk or one of its villages, please ring Community Works on 01845 523115 for help with shopping, prescriptions, caring for pets and having someone to talk to. If you live in a different area call NYCC on 01609 780780 Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm

What can I do to help?

Wherever possible people who are self-isolating are being encouraged to ask for help from family, friends, and neighbours. We would encourage everyone who can help others to let their family, friends and neighbours know if they are available and what they can do to help.

If you would like to register with Community Works as a volunteer please call us on 01845 524494 during office hours; we have stablished a process to fast-track DBS checks and induction so you can be called upon to help those in our community who need help as and when required.
